This policy covers the PakoReady Android application provided by Neil Anthony Adame and its companion landing page. The current download is PakoReady_Buttons_Fixed.apk, version 1.0, package appinventor.ai_neiladame0.PakoReady_Buttons_Fixed.
At a glance
No account is required. Your preparedness records are saved on your Android device. PakoReady has no advertising or behavioral analytics features. You choose whether to open a phone dialer, map service or reference website.
1. Information the app uses
You can read the bundled guides without entering personal information. When you use planning tools, the app saves the information below in its local storage so it remains available when you return.
| Information | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Emergency-kit selections | Remember checked supplies and display preparation progress. |
| Assessment answers, score, summary and recommendations | Display your latest self-reported preparedness result. |
| Names and phone numbers you enter in three local contact slots | Keep your chosen contacts available and open a selected number in your dialer. |
| Local facility names, public addresses, type, contact details and check date/source | Maintain the directory records you choose to save. |
These records are not sent to a developer-operated server by the app. PakoReady does not require an account, read your device address book, obtain your GPS location, or automatically contact responders. Avoid entering private home addresses, sensitive medical details or another person’s information unless needed and appropriate.
3. Android permissions
The current APK declares internet access and the legacy READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission used by its Android/App Inventor build. Internet access supports optional external resources; the bundled disaster guides remain available offline. The listed preparedness records are stored in the app’s local database. The manifest does not request GPS-location, address-book, microphone, camera or direct-call permissions. Android controls whether permissions apply on your device; you can review them in Settings → Apps → PakoReady → Permissions.
4. Retention, correction and deletion
Saved preparedness records remain on the device until you change or remove them, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. The app has no developer-managed cloud account or cloud synchronization.
- Checklist: untick individual supplies, or use Reset checklist and confirm.
- Contacts: edit and save the contact slots, or choose Clear saved local contacts and confirm.
- Directory: select a user-entered record and choose Remove selected local record, then confirm.
- Assessment: retake it to replace the saved result. To delete it and all other app records, use Android’s clear-storage control.
Delete all local data: open Android Settings → Apps → PakoReady → Storage (or Storage & cache) → Clear storage/data. Menu names vary by device. This resets the app and cannot be undone. Uninstalling normally removes the installed app’s local data as well.
Android or your device manufacturer may back up or restore app data depending on your device and backup settings. Manage or delete any such backups separately with that provider. The developer cannot remotely inspect or erase records saved only on your device.
The button-fix release uses a different package name from earlier PakoReady downloads. Android stores each package’s data separately; remove data from the appropriate installation if both versions are present.
5. Landing-page privacy
This landing page has no account registration, contact form, advertising pixels, analytics scripts or application cookies. It does not save visitor details in browser storage. Fonts and visual assets are served with the site rather than loaded from a third-party font service.
When the site and APK are hosted online, the hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details, requested file and time for delivery, security and operational logs. Retention depends on the hosting service and its configuration. Opening a local copy of this website does not create website-hosting access logs. Following an external link or using an email link invokes that service’s own privacy practices.
6. Support messages
If you email the developer, your email address and the contents and attachments you choose to send are processed to respond, investigate the issue and keep necessary correspondence. Do not include private contact lists, medical information or unredacted screenshots containing another person’s details. Support email is handled by email-service providers and retained only as long as reasonably needed for the request and related follow-up. You can request deletion of support correspondence; retention needed for unresolved issues or applicable obligations will be explained in the reply.
7. Security and family use
Protect your device with a screen lock, keep its software updated and use trusted installation sources. PakoReady does not promise that a shared, lost or compromised device can keep local records private. No method of storage or communication is completely secure.
PakoReady is an educational tool for students, households and communities. It does not ask for a date of birth or create child profiles. A parent or guardian should help younger users decide what information to save or send in a support request.
8. Changes to this policy
Updates will appear on this page with a revised date. Material changes to how information is handled should be explained before the relevant new feature is used. This policy describes the current button-fix release.
